Whilst the main part of the project is drawing to a conclusion you can still record your memories of life in the Worcestershire Witleys. We won’t be able to include them in our CD & DVD collection, but may be able to make the recording available online and of course it will be a wonderful thing to be able to pass on to your family.
To record your story, one or two of our volunteers will arrange to come to your house or a convenient location of your choosing. We need about one to two hours of your time.
We have a list of topics that may prompt your memories of the past, or often we just ask you to talk about your life and times in the village.
We use a small digital audio recorder, sometimes with a separate mike, and the ‘interview’ itself is very relaxed.
First we do a test recording so you can see how it works and how you sound, then we will simply start chatting about you memories.
If you make a mistake or say anything that you feel you don’t want recording, we can pause and remove the comment before carrying on, or edit it out later.
Nothing is made public unless you have approved it.
We will give you a copy of your recording on CD or other format, so that you may keep it for your family.
